1693 residents used council’s waste collection program [Herald Sun, 2013]

This is a little dated from 2013.

It seems about 1700 of us used the hard rubbish service back in 2013. I wonder what the most recent numbers are. Also – how does one get a green waste bin? Such a common feature in the Eastern suburbs, I have been quite hard pressed to find one this part of town.

Solution – head to the Wyndham City Council website. Forms for requesting bins are below:

As for the tip in our area? It’s located at 470 Wests Rd, Werribee (Melway Ref: 243 7E). Tip fees apply

MORE residents are using Wyndham Council’s hard and green waste collection service.

There were more than 14,200 bookings made in 2012, a 13 per cent increase on the previous year.

This brings the total number of bookings made through the pre-booked system since it was launched in November 2009 to 37,494.

Hoppers Crossing residents were the most likely users of the service last year, making 3875 bookings, followed by Werribee residents (3745), Point Cook (2380) and Tarneit (1693).
