Werribee Plaza redevelopment takes shape [Wyndham Star Weekly]

Such exciting times ahead!

So what if the east has got their massive shopping monoliths
Chadstone (floorspace expanding from 171,217 to 221,217m2) and
Knox (expanding from 142,500 to188,500 m2),
or if the inner north has Highpoint (156,000m2).

The Werribee Plaza redevelopment will increase the centre’s size by more than 25% from 72,000 to 107,000 m2 with 750 construction jobs created + 1200 ongoing jobs. It’s encouraging to see the construction progress every time I walk past.

Better days ahead.

Shoppers will get their first glimpse of the Werribee Plaza redevelopment early next year when the shopping centre’s entertainment precinct opens.

The precinct, under construction on the Derrimut Road side of the complex, will include fully renovated cinemas, 11 restaurants, a relocated library and bingo centre, and a tavern, while the adjoining food court will also be revamped.

As part of the $370 million redevelopment, the centre is being renamed Pacific Werribee.
