Source – Wyndham City Council, published 8 January, 2014
“With Tarneit’s population expected to grow to more than 25,000 residents by 2031, facilities like Penrose Promenade Community Hub are crucial. By constructing this Centre, Wyndham City is continuing its commitment to provide social and recreational infrastructure to Tarneit residents, which last year included the opening of the $9.1 million Wootten Road Reserve.”
From newborns to older residents, the newly opened Penrose Promenade Community Hub has something for everybody.
The $9.4 million centre was funded with $8.4 million from Wyndham City and $1 million from the State Government through the Department of Planning and Community Development.
Located in the Tarneit Gardens Estate, the Centre has a range of features including:
- Five community meeting rooms
- Two kindergarten rooms
- Maternal and child health consulting rooms
- Two Planned Activity Group recreation rooms
- An Ageing Well Facility
- Sensory Garden
- Offices for Wyndham City’s Resident Support Services staff
